Drawing is the honesty of art.
There is no possibility of cheating.
It is either good or bad.
(~ S. Dalí)
This statement has become the basis for my work. The subject is the female figure, represented according to my aesthetic canon of forms and colors pointed on the female universe.
Good or bad is not important, on my paintings you can watch simple portraits of women or see what's behind each face and glance. Different sensibilities, simple masks or human faces, following the "multiple personality" theme! The face, or the mask, that all of us are wearing everyday.
So, let's your imagination to drive you to what each portrait preserves. A face, a body, or maybe something more.
Renee Magritte used to say, writing it in one of his most famous works: "Ceci n'est pas une pipe"..

Some Critical Reviews

This review was published on Art Mine, a fine art gallery established in 1984 and located in the heart of New York's Chelsea art district.
Other works of mine are also featured on Visuall, a great russian website about contemporary architecture, art and design, devoted to find and bring you the most complete information about interesting ideas all over the world.

Martina Ermeti's ornate portraiture presents the viewer with impressionistic renderings of the female form. Done in acrylic on wood, Martina's larger-than-life subjects wear bold personas - that of pin up, muse, geisha, glamour girl or shadowy seductress. Mischievous and dramatic, each portrait offers a superb portrayal of the intricacy of posture and subtle flow of sensuality manifest in the female form as virtuous landscape. Equal parts high fashion spread and dreamscape, the figures demonstrate in vivid color the expressive and diverse modes of female bodily intellect. Tilting curves, pursed lips and impetuous eyes pop out against hot red backgrounds alternatively atmospheric and opaque. In the style of great masters such as Schiele and Klimt, Martina's simmering visions possess an airy depth of field counterbalanced by decorative enhancements in the frame including chains, roses, glitter and collage.
